Vitaliy Serdyuk, Senior Partner of AVER LEX, spoke at the “European Union – Ukraine: Overdue European Integration Changes in Approaches to the Management of Seized Assets” roundtable organized by legal practice.

He shared the experience of the AVER LEX team gained during defenders’ participation in sanction proceedings. Vitaly noted the problematic issues of extralegal influence on sanctions procedures, negatively affecting Ukrainian business and state policy.

Considering the spread of unfair use of sanctioning tools in private competitive interests, Vitalii recommended that business representatives take a set of measures during sanctioning procedures aimed at preserving the main composition of management, the integrity of assets, the operational activities of companies, and preventing unjustified blocking of the work of enterprises.
