ІI International Criminal Law Forum

event

The II International Criminal Law Forum was held on July 9, 2020. The event was organized by Yurydychna Praktyka publishing house with the support of the European Criminal Bar Association. The general partner of the forum was AVER LEX Attorneys at law.

The first session was moderated by a partner Igor Fedorenko, the expectations and results of the anti-corruption reform were discussed. The speakers were groups of anti-corruption agencies and the legal market.

Igor Fedorenko, Partner of AVER LEX:

“Anti-corruption reform is still ongoing. Parliament adopts new norms or reform old ones; the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office carries out its functions and the Supreme Anti-corruption Court is headed of justice. In the near future, it will be possible to expect the practical implementation of the whistle-blower system meaning that new goals and challenges are ahead”.

Igor also acted as a moderator and speaker of the session on topical issues of criminal proceedings with a foreign element, which is now being actively initiated and investigated. The speakers discussed issues of extradition, the specifics of concluding a plea bargain with law enforcement agencies and protection in cross-border White-Collar Crime investigations. Igor told about his practice of defence in case of the application of American, European and national sanctions.

We thank toYurydychna Praktyka publishing house, the European Criminal Bar Association and to Advisory Board Member of the European Criminal Bar Association Jaime Campaner for their support and participation in the event.
